Gardai in Co Leitrim are appealing for witnesses following a fatal collision yesterday.

A man in his 70's died following a single vehicle collision in Killaneen, Ballinamore at about 11am yesterday morning.

The man, who was the driver, suffered serious injuries in the crash and was later pronounced dead at Cavan General Hospital.

Gardai are appealing to any witnesses to contact them in Carrick-on-Shannon at 071- 96 50510  - particularly any drivers who may have dash-cam footage from the area between 10.45 and 11.15 yesterday morning.
