The West of Ireland will escape the worst of the wet and windy weather over the next 24 hours.

Met Eireann has issued a status orange wind warning for Cork, while a status yellow wind warning is in place for Leinster, Clare, Kerry, Limerick, Tipperary and Waterford.

The warning are valid from 9pm tonight until 9am tomorrow morning.

There are no weather warnings issued for Connacht.
