Emergency services are dealing with a fire on the outskirts of Sligo town this morning.

Larkhill Road is closed as a result, with diversions in place.

Motorists are advised the smoke in the area may affect visibility, while residents are asked to keep their windows and doors closed.

It's understood the blaze broke out at in a garage at a domestic premises, and no one was injured in the incident.

The Fire Service and Gardai are at the scene.
