Over €80,000 in funding has been announced for 10 swimming pools across Mayo.

The grant will support the implementation of covid-19 measures at a mixture of public and private pools across the county.

It is part of €2.5m in Government funding allocated to the sector nationally today.

Mayo Fianna Fail Deputy Dara Calleary told Midwest News that indoor pools play an important role in people’s health and fitness.
