Icy conditions are being reported on roads across the region this morning.

A Status Yellow fog warning remains in effect for the entire country and it has been extended until 1 o’clock this afternoon.

Dense fog is forecast with a risk of freezing fog in places.

Motorists are urged to leave plenty of braking distance between the vehicles in front of them and to leave for your destination in plenty of time.

It's also important to turn off your fog lights if you don't need them, as they may dazzle oncoming traffic.
