A status yellow rainfall warning remains in place in Mayo and Galway until 6 pm this evening.

Met Eireann is predicting up to 50 millimetres of rainfall which may result in flooding and hazardous driving conditions.

The forecast is for a wet & windy day, with heavy rain for much of the day.
