Fine Gael has scored its best polling result in almost a decade in the latest political poll.

Today's Red C survey of a thousand voters for the Business Post puts Tánaiste Leo Varadkar's party on 37 per cent -- up two on the last in the series.

Fianna Fáil has gained just one percentage point, with just 11 per cent support.

Sinn Féin is holding steady on 27 per cent -- more than its national vote share when Ireland last voted in February.
