There are two confirmed active cases of Covid-19 on site at Mayo University Hospital currently.

That's according to the HSE's Covid-19 Daily Operations update at 8 o'clock yesterday evening.

The cases were confirmed within a 24-hour period between 8 o'clock on Thursday evening and 8 o'clock on Friday.

The latest update from the HSE also shows a number of suspected cases of the virus in hospitals across the region.

There are 12 suspected cases in Sligo University Hospital, 7 in Galway University Hospital, two at the Portiuncla Hospital and there are no suspected cases at Mayo University Hospital.
