The fallout from the Clifden ‘GolfGate’ controversy continues ,as the Fine Gael leader Leo Varadkar has called on Mayo Senator Paddy Burke to step down from an Oireachtas committee.

He attended the controversial Oireachtas golf event in county Galway last week and has already had the party whip removed from him in the Seanad.
National media outlets have claimed that sources in Fine Gael were not satisfied that Senator Burke’s punishment was strong enough.
