As schools start to re-open, there is an urgent need for an extra school bus service for a number of students from the Annaghdown area of Headford, according to local councillor Mary Hoade.
The Fianna Fail councillor has written to her colleague the Minister for Education Norma Foley asking her to contact the Department of Education and address the needs of students with concessionary school bus tickets, who have been refused school transport to Presentation College Headford at the end of this month.
Cllr Hoade has been telling Midwest News why these students are not being accommodated on the Department's school bus service at present.
