Gardaí are investigating the theft of two boat engines from Ceabeg, Achill at the weekend.

Outboard engines were stolen from two vessels in the area between 9pm on Friday night and 8pm on Saturday evening last.

One was a Honda eight horsepower four-stroke engine and the other was a Yamaha eight horsepower four-stroke engine.

Mayo Gardaí are appealing for anyone who was in the Ceabeg area at the time of the incident, who may have noticed anyone acting suspicious to contact Achill Garda Station on 098-43102, the garda confidential line on 1850 666 111, or any garda station.
