A Mayo TD is calling for greater engagement from government on the road map to reopening wet pubs.

Fine Gael TD Alan Dillon thinks an agreed roadmap for the reopening of the sector should be published to give publicans greater clarity.

The Fine Gael Parliamentary Party Secretary wants greater Government support for the industry, following his meeting with publicans as part of the #SupportNotSympathy campaign.

Representatives from the Mayo Vintners Federation are meeting with members of the Oireachtas tomorrow to discuss the concerns of the industry.

Deputy Dillon told Midwest News that the sector cannot be omitted from the reopening of the economy without clarification of the conditions necessary for them to open.
