The Windy Gap road has reopened to traffic after a lorry overturned earlier this afternoon.

The incident occurred shortly before four o'clock between Bofeenaun and Castlebar.

Midwest News understands that a crane came to the location within two hours and helped remove the vehicle.

There are no injuries to report from the incident.
