
While Mayo escaped the worst of Storm Ellen overnight, there are still pockets across the West of Ireland without electricity, while local authority crews are removing fallen trees across the West.
Mayo County Council was reporting trees down in Glencorrib, Robeen, Ballyglass, Castlegar, Castlemagarrett, Kilmovee, Cloonturk, Huntsfield, Aghamore, Gurteen, Lecarrow and Derrylea.
There was also windblown debris on roads across the region.
There are still areas experiencing power outages affecting small numbers of customers - including 24 customers in the Dalton area of Claremorris and 26 in Cong.
Larger power outages are reported across Galway, Roscommon and Sligo.
ESB crews are working to restore power as quickly as possible to all areas, but across the country, there are still 104,000 customers without power this lunchtime .
After last night's winds, rain will be the main feature tonight, according to Met Eireann.
There's a status yellow rainfall warning in place for the entire country, until 5am tomorrow morning, with forecasters warning that heavy squally downpours and thunderstorms will bring a risk of spot flooding at times today and tonight.
