Gardai in Ballina are investigating after two cattle were killed in a road traffic incident close to the entrance of Mount Falcon.

The incident involving a truck occurred shortly after 5am this morning and the driver of the truck was uninjured.

Traffic management measures were put in place for a time this morning to clear the scene and allow Gardai the opportunity to carry out an investigation.
