Principals, teachers and Boards of Management are all working diligently over the last number of days and weeks to ensure the safe return of primary school children to schools.
That's the view of the regional rep of the INTO, Vincent Duffy.
Vincent is the Principal of Breaffy NS outside Ballina and he admits that while many parents and students may be anxious about the return to school, during the present pandemic, nonetheless, he's confident that adequate adaptations can be made to make it a safe environment.
He says however, that the government message this week, putting all sporting activities behind closed doors, is a bit confusing, just days ahead of bringing large groups of children back to schools all across the country.
Midwest News visited Breaffy National School to talk to Vincent about the busier than ever schedule this year for everyone getting ready for "back to school".
