A status orange rain warning has been issued for Sligo, Donegal and Leitrim.

Met Eireann is predicting persistent heavy rain with up to 60 millimetres possible by midday tomorrow.

A status yellow rain alert is also in operation in Mayo until 12 noon tomorrow.

A status yellow wind warning is also in place across the four north-west counties and Galway until 10 o’clock this evening, with gusts of up to 100 kilometers per hour forecast.
