Gardai in Ballina are advising business owners and traders to be on alert for counterfeit 20 euro notes.

A number of the dud notes were tendered in shops in Ballina earlier today, and Gardai are advising those involved in retail to be on alert for the counterfeit notes - and check in particular for the hologram.
