A man is due before the courts in Sligo in connection to the seizure of 100,000 thousand euro worth of cannabis.

The discovery was made at a house in Ballymote on Thursday - where a sum of cash was also recovered.

A man in his 30s had been arrested following the search and questioned by Gardaí.

He will appear before Sligo District Court later this morning.
