A Mayo woman won €29,000 on the Winning Streak TV gameshow at the weekend - 24 years after her mother appeared on the programme.

Emer O'Grady from Westport, who works in Allergan, was delighted with her winnings of €29,000.

Her mother Anne appeared on the show back in February 1995  - it was presented at the time by Mike Murphy - and she won 6,000 Irish pounds.
