Revenue officers have been given court permission to hold on to 80,000 euro while they investigate if it's linked to crime.

The cash was seized during the planned search of a house in Mayo yesterday.

Revenue detector dog Bailey also led officers to illegal cigarettes, worth 22 thousand euro.

A Latvian man in his fifties has been questioned about the find.
