67 year old Brendan Kilduff of Sallyhernane, Knock appears to have been visiting a friend when he was mistaken by the householder as an intruder.
He is survived by his sisters Marian and Bernadette, nieces, nephews, brothers in law, neighbours and many friends.
His remains will be reposing at the Marian Funeral Home Knock this evening (Friday) from 6 o'clock until 8 o'clock.
He will be laid to rest after 12 noon Mass at the Church of St. John the Baptist, Knock tomorrow in the local cemetery.
