People are being urged to be careful of wild-fires over the coming days.

A spell of dry weather, with moderate winds, has increased the fire risk.

There was a large gorse fire on the Arigna mountains on the Roscommon/Leitrim border last night, and a bog fire on Ardoileán, off the coast of Connemara in Co Galway.
