Ireland's top construction companies increased their turnover by 25% last year to €8.39 billion euro.

€ 5.9 billion of this activity took place in Ireland, while and almost € 2.5 billion was generated from exported construction services.

John Sisk & Son was number one in Construction Magazine's Top 50 CIF Contractors list, with a turnover of €1.1 billion last year.

Mayo company Wills Bros Ltd was ranked number 23 in the Top 50  - the company had a €90 million turnover in 2018.

In 8th place on the list is Galway-based JJ Rhatigan & Company, with a turnover of €324 million last year, Kilcawley Construction in Sligo had a turnover of €45.6 million last year and is in 35th place on the list, and at number 37 is Galway-based Glenman Corporation Ltd with a turnover last year of €43.4 million.
