Castlerea based Fianna Fail Cllr Paschal Fitzmaurice has been elected Cathaoirleach of Roscommon County Council today.

A grouping of six Fianna Fail, two Fine Gael and two Independents backed Cllr Fitzmaurice in a vote earlier today to be elected Cathaoirleach for the coming year.

Fine Gael’s Liam Callaghan is the Leas-Cathaoirleach.
