A man is due in court this evening charged in connection with the death of a woman following an incident on a farm in Co Galway last year.

On the afternoon of the 27th April 2018, a woman in her mid-70's died after being struck by an agricultural vehicle on a farm on the outskirts of Portumna.

Gardai investigating the circumstances of her death have today charged a man in his 50's in connection with the incident.

He's due to appear before a special sitting of the District Court in Loughrea this evening.
