A man in his 60's has died in a road collision in Co Sligo.

The single-vehicle collision occurred at about 9.45 this morning when the man's car struck a wall at a bridge at Doomore, Cloonacool.

His body was removed to Sligo University Hospital for post-mortem examination.

The Cloonacool-Tubbercurry road remains closed to traffic, as a technical and forensic examination of the scene is underway.

Diversions are in place.
