A man in his 50s arrested by Gardaí in connection with an attack at a farmhouse outside Strokestown on Sunday, December 16th is due to appear in court this evening.
The man was arrested yesterday in Co Donegal, following a search and detained at Castlerea Garda Station.
The searches are being carried out following an attack at a farmhouse outside Strokestown last month, following the eviction of two brothers and a sister from their county Roscommon home on December 12th last.
The man arrested yesterday is expected to appear before a special sitting of Roscommon District Court at 6pm this evening.
A man arrested in Co Mayo on Thursday appeared before a special sitting of Castlerea District Court yesterday morning, where he was remanded in custody to appear at Harristown District Court on January 18th.
