Gardai arrested a man yesterday in connection with a robbery at a bookmakers in Co. Sligo.

The incident occurred at 3.25pm yesterday afternoon at a premises on the Square in Collooney.

The man in his 30’s was arrested a short time later and is currently detained at Ballymote Garda Station.

No-one was injured during the incident and investigations are ongoing.
