Four Mayo companies have been nominated for the National Q Mark awards.

The Q mark is awarded to companies who achieve the highest standards of quality and excellence, and is celebrating its 50th year.

The nominations have now been announced for the 2018 National Q Mark awards, and representing Mayo are three Spar stores - Spar / Corrib Oil in Ballyhaunis, Spar Express in Westport, Spar Express in Ballinrobe and Cuffe's Centra in Belmullet.

The National Q Mark Awards take place on Friday the 28th of September at The Clayton Hotel in Dublin with over 135 companies battling it out for the 27 awards.
