A woman who died following a fatal collision in Co Galway on Friday night has been named.

Anne Hickey from Lissadyra, Tuam died after she was struck by a 4x4 on the M18 motorway on Friday night shortly after 9pm.

Ms Hickey was nee Griffin and formerly of Ballindine.

Her remains will repose at Carey’s Funeral Home, Ballindine on Monday evening from 6.30-8pm.

She will be laid to rest in the new cemetery Ballindine on Tuesday following 12 noon Funeral Mass.
