Ballycroy Post Office is to close next month.
The news was confirmed by An Post to local Erris based Senator Rose Conway Walsh.
The Sinn Fein Senator says the Post Office is the heart of the parish of Ballycroy, and the local people will not simply accept its closure..
Nonetheless, the facility is set to close on September 24th.
A public meeting takes place this evening at 8pm in Ballycroy hall in an effort to save the local Post Office.
