Travellers’ Journey is a new exhibition on show at the Museum of Country Life in Turlough, Castlebar,  and it was launched yesterday by the President of Ireland Michael D Higgins.

It exhibits the life and traditions of the Traveller community in the west of Ireland and encourages discussion on a unique heritage and ethnicity.

 The exhibition is a collaboration between the National Museum and the Western Regional Traveller Health Network, covering  Mayo, Galway and Roscommon

Rosa Meehan is the Curator at the museum and she says it’s a very exciting exhibition that will be on display until May 2019.
