A farmer has been seriously injured in a farm accident in Co Roscommon.

It's understood the incident occurred yesterday evening at Kilmore, near Carrick on Shannon when a bale and pallet fell on the farmer while he was stacking them in a shed.

The man was airlifted to Sligo University Hospital with serious injuries.
