
A Roscommon woman has been fined €9,000 by a Dublin District Court after failing to pay for almost 150 journeys through the M50 toll.
A total of 10 drivers accused of dodging M50 tolls were hit with fines amounting to almost €120,000 earlier this week.
The court heard Marie McDonagh, with an address at Cluain Airne, Lanesboro Road, Roscommon was the owner of a goods vehicle, which had a history of 148 unpaid trips on the M50.
Judge John Brennan fined her 9,000 euro on five sample counts.
On top of the fines, each vehicle owner was ordered to pay 750 euro in prosecution costs.
The judge said the fines must be paid within six months.
