The National Lottery has confirmed that a small syndicate from Galway today claimed the Lotto jackpot prize of over 8.5 million euro from the draw held on 12th May.
This was the biggest Lotto jackpot of 2018 to date.
The winners say they plan to travel the world in style with their life-changing 8.5 million euro prize, by taking a once-in-a-lifetime luxury trip around the world.
The winning ticket was sold at the Corrib Oil Service Station on The Hill in Loughrea.
The syndicate members wish to keep their win private, but spoke today of their initial shock after hitting the jackpot.
They’ve decided to only tell immediate family about their win.
