A team of divers from Mayo will travel to Canada to carry out a search for missing Breaffy man David Gavin.

David got into difficulty after jumping from a logging bridge over a river estuary that flows into Kinbasket Lake last June.

He and some friends were en route to a football tournament in Calgary, Alberta, when they stopped off for a swim.

The Castlebar man was living and working in Canada at the time.

The divers will depart on Monday and will begin diving on Tuesday.
