A 37 year old man is due to appear in court this morning charged in connection with a firearm and drug seizure in county Sligo.

Gardai discovered a gun in the boot of a car on Tuesday and in a follow up operation found cannabis at a house in Ballymote.

He's due to appear before a sitting of Ballaghadereen District Court this morning charged in connection with the investigation.
