Rail passengers in the West are facing disruption to their travel plans over Easter, as Irish Rail will be carrying out major engineering works in Co Kildare.

This means all train services from Mayo and Galway into Heuston Station will be affected.

Irish Rail says passengers will be transferred by bus between Heuston Station and Newbridge and Kildare from Good Friday until Easter Monday, and passengers on the Mayo and Galway rail lines should check the company’s website before travelling, as there may be some changes to departure and arrival times.
