The old Turlough Road in Castlebar has reopened to traffic this morning.

The road, from Turlough village to Horkan’s Garden Centre, had been closed since yesterday afternoon after a crane went on fire.

Gardai say no-one was injured in the incident, but the road was closed for a period to facilitate a clean-up by the council.
