Storm Georgina has passed over Ireland but two yellow weather warnings remain in place this morning.

There's a nationwide wind alert until 9am this morning,  with gusts of up to 110 kilometres per hour.

While a status yellow rainfall warning is in place for Mayo, Galway, SLigo, Leitrim, Donegal and Clare – with  up to 35 millimetres of rain falling in places.

Met Eireann forecaster Joanna Donnelly says that, while the storm has passed, today will remain very windy….
