Last year saw the highest-ever number of passenger journeys on the Mayo/Dublin rail line.

A total of 559,000 journeys were made on this route in 2017 – an increase of almost 5% on the previous year.

Nationally, 45.5 million passenger journeys were recorded last year  -equalling 2007 which was the highest ever recorded.
