One of the four new regional Climate Action Offices being established by Government will be located in Castlebar.

The Minister for Communications, Climate Action and Environment Denis Naughten has announced that the four regional offices will be established with 10 million euro of Government funding.

The new office in Castlebar will cover the Atlantic Seaboard, including counties Mayo, Galway, Sligo and Donegal, to further develop the competence of local authorities in dealing with climate change.
