Tributes are being paid to a Ballaghaderreen teenager who died in a tragic accident in Lanzarote.

It’s understood that the young man was on holidays with his mother, grandmother and grand aunt when he was involved in a fatal quad-bike or moped accident on Friday. He has been named locally as Stephen O’Gara, from Aughurine, Moyne, Ballaghaderreen, a student in Galway.

His mother Maureen runs the well known Gairdin Bia Catering company in Ballaghaderreen
