20,000  euros of drugs were seized in a Ballyhaunis premises on Saturday and a man was arrested in connection with the find.

Gardai arrested a 27 year old male on Saturday night following a search of a house in the town.

A large quantity of cannabis and amphetamines were found.

The man, who is a foreign national, was detained at Castlebar garda station under section 2 of the Criminal Justice Drug Trafficking act.
