
The death has occurred at Mayo University Hospital in Castlebar of the elderly pedestrian that was struck by a car outside Charlestown on Saturday evening last.
The man in his eighties, has been named as Louie O’Hara of Gortermone, Tourlestrane, county Sligo.
The collision occurred on the old N5 about 2 km from Charlestown just before 7pm on Saturday evening.
His remains will be reposing at Coen’s Funeral Home Tubbercurry tomorrow evening from 4 to 7pm, with removal to St Attracta’s Church Tourlestrane at 8pm.
He will be laid to rest after 12 noon Mass on Thursday in Rhue cemetery.
