The old N5 road between Charlestown and Carracastle has now reopened to traffic, following a road collision earlier this afternoon.

It’s understood a jeep overturned .

It’s not known if anyone was seriously injured in the incident, but Gardai say the road has now reopened.

Meanwhile, traffic restrictions remain in place between Ballinrobe and the Neale following a single vehicle accident.

The road will reopen once the vehicle has been removed.
