Funeral arrangements have been confirmed for a young Ballaghaderreen man who died tragically in Lanzarote last week while on a family holiday.

19-year old Stephen O’Gara from Augherine, Moyne, Ballaghaderreen died when the moped he hired collided with a car in the early hours of Saturday morning last on the holiday island.

He had been on a family holiday with his mother and other family members.

Stephen’s remains will repose at the Sharkey Funeral Home in Ballaghaderreen on Saturday from 4-7pm.

He will be laid to rest on Sunday in Tibohine new cemetery following 2 o’clock funeral mass in the Church of the Sacred Heart, Fairymount.
