The new swimming pool in Castlebar is on schedule to open to the public in mid-2018.

The news was confirmed at a meeting yesterday of the Castlebar Municipal District.

Members of Castlebar Swimming Club addressed councillors in relation to the new pool – they were looking for clarification on when the pool will be ready to open and who will manage the new facility.

The new 11 million euro, 25-metre pool is under construction at Lough Lannagh.
