Castlebar’s first ice-skating rink closed yesterday, after a very successful 6-week run at the Mall.

Almost 25,000 people enjoyed the skating rink in the county town, and Wilson Bird, President of Castlebar Chamber, claims it brought up to 100,000 people into the town in the run-up to Christmas , and over the festive season.
